SGA Juniors
Juniors come high on our list of priorities at the Golf Academy. For the last 15 years the Junior Golf Academy has been one of the largest and most successful in the UK. We offer a range of options to give all children their best environment to learn. Crucially our coaches and assistants ALL:

Undergo frequent DBS checks;

Attend regular Safeguarding Children Workshops.
There is also always at least 1 fully trained first aid first responder on site to give you peace of mind that your children are in safe hands. These factors are crucial to receive the England Golf 'SafeGolf' award.
With our full range of outdoor, covered and specilist indoor facilties coaching continues all year round.
Group Sessions Winter 2025
Our Summer 2025 sessions have now been completed and we plan the winter.
However due to the severe damage to the Range from Storm Amy there will be NO group sessions until the New Year. Without the range option, our coaching facilities are severely stretched. We are formulating some two-hour morning sessions for the Half Term (West Lancs 21st to 25th October and Sefton 27th October to 31st October). We will e mail existing course Juniors, please contact Richard or Brad for new players - minimum age will be 8 years.

There will be some new links to the County programme to come from these groups in due course.

Alternatively, individual lessons are available at £20, a package of six is £100. Please contact Brad Bridgwood or Richard Carpenter to discuss vacancies or what would be right for your child.
We really are devastated by the effects of the storm and are working hard to get repairs done and passed through insurance as soon as possible.
Individual coaching

Sessions run in rolling 10 week blocks at weekends - £75 - please call for availability (revised to 6 week courses during winter - £45.

Girls Golf Rocks and Golf Rookies (boys and girls)
England Golf initiative of initially subsidised girls group coaching leading to joining the SGA girls section and new and exciting boys and mixed groups for 2025. The next subsidised sessions from England Golf will resume in the Spring of 2026 as an introduction for beginner juniors. Check here for details when known
Although good technique is the central subject matter of the lessons, we aim to incorporate aspects of etiquette and rules as much as possible as these are the elements that we feel set golf apart from other sports in terms of a child’s development.
