Beginners Introduction to Golf Sessions 2024
Held regularly at Southport Golf Academy.
A 90-minute informal group course – minimum 4 people – maximum 8—session times to suit groups or families.

The objectives of the game and the structure of the Sport, Golf Clubs, access etc

Scoring – a simple explanation

Etiquette and basic rules

Includes a 45-minute introductory lesson with qualified Coaching Professionals

The presentation is indoors, coaching on the covered driving range.

Times available every day, including weekends – last session commences at 6 pm on weekdays, 4 pm at weekends.

How our intro sessions work
In conjunction with England Golf, we are offer throughout the year free taster sessions, where you can come and give golf a try with one of our fully qualified golf professionals.
​
There is no obligation to join, and all equipment is provided.
​
To be a good golfer it is essential to be relaxed so we pride ourselves on our first-class instruction and warm friendly welcome, providing the ideal environment to learn, practice and play this great game.
​
Sessions are run in small groups, maximising your instruction time. No dress code is in place but we recommend comfortable footwear. All sessions take place on our covered and floodlit driving range so warm, non-restrictive clothing is recommended.
​
These taster sessions lead to a range of special offers for beginners, including group scheduled sessions over a six-week period. We want to encourage beginners by offering insightful lessons for very little cost. This course gives you the chance to be sure you want to continue on our pathway to regular play, equipment ownership and eventual club membership.

Designed for individuals who may not play as much as they would like to, or have had time away from the game. Includes a mix of long game, short game, putting and course management.
