Hone your skills and pick up new golfing tips, with Southport Golf Academy. We offer 1-2-1 coaching sessions throughout the week, ideal for both beginners and pros. All sessions are with an experienced coach, and tailored to your ability and skill set. Visit us in Preston, or speak to our helpful team to book your first coaching session.

At Southport Golf Academy, we aim to offer a full range of coaching services for competitive rates. View our current prices for personalised training sessions:

Private lessons: £25.00 including range balls for 30 minutes.

A course of 6 private lessons: £125.00

Junior lessons (up to 16 years old) £18, or a full course for £90. Junior group classes are also available.

Parent and child joint lesson, weekdays after school – £29 per session, or £145 for 6 with any of our coaches. Grandparents/grandchild bookings also welcome!

Beginner’s joint lessons are also available as above, with an extra £4 added per lesson for extra use of balls. These are ideal for friends to take up the game and enjoy the journey together.
All individual lessons are followed up by lesson evaluations. These enable you to track your progress or outline the practice schedules needed to prepare for your next lesson.
Assessment sessions
Are you a golfer who has been playing for some time with mediocre results, yet can’t really put your finger on why your scores aren’t getting better, or even worse?
Come down for a 60-minute individual assessment (£40) that will set you up with a structured plan of how to get the most out of your golf game. This session includes a detailed analysis of most aspects of your game, and will allow your coach to recommend the best course of action to improve your scores. If you feel you want to book lessons after this then that is totally up to you.
This will give you a clear picture of your golfing priorities and you can find a coach nearer to home to help you work through a programme.
